Kayla's Children Centre provides education, therapy, recreational and respite services for children with a wide variety of special needs within a Jewish cultural setting. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) at Kayla's Children Centre in Vaughan, ON. The role involves providing behaviour analytic services to clients, conducting assessments, developing behaviour intervention plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support individuals with behavioural challenges.
Responsibilities include:
Consulting to classroom program
Supporting and training teachers and staff on ABA principles and behaviour management
Run small groups in classrooms
Conducting functional assessments and writing relevant treatment protocol
Ongoing supervision, training, and evaluation of instructor therapists
Meeting and communicating with parents
Scheduling instructor therapists
Meeting with and communicating with the Clinical Director
Overseeing programming of clients: analysis of data, making data driven program changes, writing and updating individualized plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and implement relevant therapy goals and strategies
Attend training sessions, workshops, online courses, etc.
Uphold centre’s policies and procedures (including ethical guidelines)
Qualifications
Three to five years of direct clinical experience in behaviour analysis or intensive behavioural intervention
Strong knowledge and experience in: Natural Environment Teaching, Discrete Trial Teaching, Precision Teaching
SBT experience and training an asset
RBA certification required
Ability to work independently and take initiative while still being part of the team
Professional demeanour and ability to maintain confidentiality
Positive attitude, organized, and passion for learning
